The Embassy Global Story

Embassy Global was founded in 2008 by multilingual strategic technical marketing and PR expert, Molly Bakewell Chamberlin (connect with Molly on LinkedIn here.)

At that time, Molly was already known within the B2B high-tech manufacturing and engineering communities for her work within a progressive series of global marketing leadership roles, including at two of the world's top manufacturers.

What was increasingly becoming known, in fact, was her unique capability to generate higher volumes of sales inquiries with expedited conversion rates. Her work could also be consistently and directly attributed to large new RFQ's and orders. Also getting noticed was her initiative to gain technical experience, including her ISO category II vibration analysis certification.

As a global marketing director, Molly was tasked by her then-employer with setting up in-house marketing services that could replace traditional outsourced marketing agencies. The reasons for it, she'd learned, were varied, including perceptions that:

  • Agencies were expensive, and manufacturers were incurring hidden internal costs of having to teach them know-how.

  • They were not "industry" firms and had limited depth of industry relationships.

  • They couldn't offer value-added industry insights or guide strategy.

  • The marketing, PR and strategy work they did was not industry specific.

  • They were not loyal, or competitively exclusive.

  • They could not attribute their work to any actual leads, RFQs and orders over time.

  • There was no real means of measuring their value, if not for tangible opportunities.

  • They weren't experts in the products, markets, applications or end customers. Their work contained errors.

  • They often put their own interests ahead of all else.

However, the "solution" of bringing those resources in house still meant high staff overhead costs which, with salary, benefits, staff turnover, and also diverse priorities, were quite costly in other ways.

That ongoing challenge led Molly to leave in-house employment and to create Embassy Global, as an outsourced solution which could truly cater to these niche challenges. The goal was to provide the high-tech manufacturing industry, and particularly those within the technology areas of her expertise, with high-quality, experienced and cost-effective marketing resources. Ones that could add value as industry experts and therefore achieve incredible results.

Today, Embassy Global helps small-to-medium sized high-tech manufacturers to solve these, and other, challenges, while lending the valued-added benefits of its globally renowned in-depth industry experience.
